Genna Crabtree

As a student at Barking and Dagenham College, Genna worked on the Digital Skills Project, creating an App to reduce knife crime in cities and towns. This resulted in her networking with industry professionals from AWS, the BBC, Princes Trust, and many more sponsors & stakeholders. It gave her much-needed development skills for the world of work and business.

Whilst at college, she also took part in a competition by ‘Barking Enterprise Centre’ submitting a logo for their new workspace. “I really enjoyed the experiences of college and all the opportunities I was presented with, finishing with a Triple Distinction grade in Graphic Design and the Jack Petchy Award”.

After College, Genna enrolled with Ravensbourne University, and was awarded an AWS Future Engineer Scholarship. She became Student Ambassador, and a Student Rep for her course, and in 2021/22 returned to the Digital Skills Project as a judge, sharing her experiences with new students.

After an Intern position as Curriculum Researcher/Designer and Project Manager, she was apprenticed to AWS as a ‘Global Business Analyst’.

In 2023 Genna was appointed as an an Associate Business Analyst for the Global Client Success team at Equus Software.
