Lehel Nagy
Lehel was a technology student who participated in the Digital Skills Project over two years (as participant, as well as a mentor), as well as enthusiastically taking part in other workshops and training.
He was selected from hundreds of students at the Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET) to take part in this work experience project, which involved working closely with AWS, the BBC and the Princes Trust. Over subsequent years, Lehel has always been enthusiastic about any opportunity to further his business and technology skills, as well as helping his community (in fact he continues to support the project as both a mentor, as well as assisting the judges).
His communication skills allowed him to find the correct tone between being professional and friendly, demonstrating skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, community awareness, and project management (budgets, project plans and time management).
Lehel is currently completing his Cybersecurity Degree through Coventry University, while working for his old College (Birmingham Metropolitan College) for two days a week, providing Cyber and IT Support services. Lehel has since been offered a full-time teaching role at BMET, commencing in September 2024.
