Gatsby Charitable Foundation Logo In late 2015, David Sainsbury was asked by the UK government to chair a panel of experts that would provide clear recommendations for measures that would not only improve, but transform, technical education in England. The panel’s report was published alongside the government’s Post-16 Skills Plan in July 2016.

The Digital Skills Project, developed by DSC, has been delivered to more than 10,000 students over the past seven years and helps with the delivery of T-Levels, and in particular employer engagement.

Over the past three years, DSC has adapted the project to work with T-Level students at FE colleges, to meet the requirements of:

  • Work Taster (35 hours)
  • Remote Learning (9 days)
  • Essential Skills
  • Preparation for the Employer Led Project
  • Preparation for the remaining Industry Placement at an employer

The Gatsby Charitable Foundation sponsored a report on the Project relating to T-Levels which can be viewed here.
