Julia is a recognised leader in digital skills, education, careers, and employability, with extensive experience across the Further Education sector, government, and industry. She specialises in helping education providers and employers develop the skills, talent, and workforce strategies needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
A finalists in the WISE Women in Technology Award, and recipient of an Inclusive Leadership Award from the Ladies First Network, Julia is widely respected for her work in Digital Skills, Apprenticeships, T-Levels, and employability programmes.
Drawing on experience gained with global technology organisations including Sun Microsystems, Oracle and AWS, she now works with leading employers, education providers, and public sector organisations to strengthen links between industry and education, creating opportunities that lead to successful careers.
Julia is a trusted adviser to government, policymakers, education leaders, and employers on workforce development, digital skills, and technical education.
She has served as a Governor for FE Colleges and Institutes of Technology and previously chaired the CyberHub Trust.
Passionate about social mobility and inclusion, Julia actively supports initiatives that widen participation in STEM and digital careers, helping to inspire and develop the next generation of talent.
