Mohammed Ahmed

While studying at Birmingham Metropolitan College, Mohammed participated in the Digital Skills Project alongside more than 1,200 Digital Technology students. Mohammed’s team was awarded the prestigious Best Solution Award, with entries judged by leading organisations including AWS, The Prince’s Trust, BBC, and HSBC.

Through the project, he strengthened his teamwork and communication skills, learning how to collaborate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and personalities. At the final event, Mohammed and his team presented their solution to an audience of more than 150 people.

Having returned to the project as a mentor, Mohammed supported one of the winning teams in 2025, and he was also awarded the Alan Livett Award.

Outside of his studies, Mohammed has continued to expand his technical expertise through personal projects, including developing websites, games, and AI-powered chatbots. He studied for a BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions at Sheffield Hallam University and is pursuing a career in Cyber Security.

In addition, Mohammed has worked for his old college in Birmingham, as well as DELL, SERCO, Capgemini, and others, and continues to provide technology consultancy services to a range of SMEs.
